beaches
The seven dream beaches of Frégate Island are among the most beautiful in the world for swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving and a variety of other water sports; for enjoying an unforgettable Champagne picnic; or simply for secluded sun worshipping.
- Anse Victorin with its pure white sand fringed by palm trees is regularly voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
- Anse Macquereau framed by palm trees on the one side and by impressive rock formations on the other side offers absolute privacy; the only beach with a do-not-disturb sign.
- Anse Bambous is nearest to Frégate House, next to the main pools, and offers full bar and snack services.
- Grand Anse on the west side is the longest stretch of sand on the island and famous for its hawkbill turtle nesting grounds.
- Anse Parc secluded in the southeast was used as a safe anchoring bay for pirates in the late 17th and 18th century.
- Marina Beach next to the marina is protected by cliffs; the breakwater provides calmer waters and allows easier wimming.
- Anse La Cour alongside the airstrip is a beautiful sandy beach; the perfect place to collect a seashell or two…
