Resilient Coral Reef: Signs of Recovery

In mid-April, we began monitoring a bleaching event around Fregate Island, which ultimately impacted 20% of the reef.

Despite this, our data also revealed many corals resilient to high temperatures.

Since mid-June, with the drop in temperature, the reef has started to recover.

The expansion of our coral restoration project coincided with this challenging period, but we are thrilled to see coral tissue growing over the metal structures—signs of a promising recovery.
